The Young People's Ministry provides auxiliaries and programs for children, youth and young adults that enhances and encourages Christian development.
Proverbs 22:6;Colossians 2:6-7
Mission:
* Implement a curriculum with in the Young People's Ministry that will provide the vehicle for Christian development.
* Cooperate and work with other auxiliaries of the church to guarantee Christian Harmony.
* Set forth the plans and objectives of this church that are designed for the Young People's Ministry.
Children's Division
Ages 6-12
Goals: To install biblical ethics for a Christian lifestyle and produce self-confidence in Christian children - Matthew 19:14
Young Ladies Auxillary (Y.L.A.) and Junior Laymen
Grades 7th -12th
Goal:
* Assist in formulating the characteristics of the young girls and boys into Christian Young Ladies and Young Men
*Ensure that 100% of the fellowship truly knows the Lord as their personal Savior
*Dispel the myth that the youth are a part of the future church
* Active involvement in our church and the Men's and Women's Ministry
* Involve parents in the overall success of the Young Ladies Auxiliary and Junior Laymen- Romans 12:1-2
Young Adult Ministry
Ages 18-35
Goal: To provide Christian fellowship for the church both male and female
Philippians 2:1-4
Youth Counseling- To Broaden the path of communication with young people and to provide biblical based that relates to the pressure facing our youth today. Proverbs 11:14;15:22
M.E.D.I.C
(Mentoring, Educating, Developing Individuals In College)
Provides youth in grades 8th-12th christian guidance through the process of preparing for higher education, including mentorship, academic counseling, college and scholarship application completion-Philippians 3:3-14
Willie J. & Armenta D. Thornton and Bobby T. Newman Scholarship Committee
Supports the youth of Citizens of Zion by providing scholarships to high school seniors who are planning to attend a four year or two year college and/or to pursue a trade or vocational training school. II Timothy 2:14-16
